Fourth of July Parade

We are marching in the Tumwater Fourth of July parade to publicize the plight of the Davis Meeker oak. Contact us if you want to join us! Tree costumes encouraged.

CHECK-IN/ASSEMBLY: 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.
SHUTTLE FROM CHECK-IN TO STAGING: 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.
ENTRY JUDGING: 9:30 - 10:15 a.m.
PARADE BEGINS: 11:00 a.m.; pre-parade: 10:45 a.m.

DIRECTIONS to CHECK-IN:
The route to check-in may be impacted by a City of Tumwater road construction project at Capitol Boulevard and Trosper Road. Consider taking Exit 101 to avoid traffic congestion around the Trosper Road interchange.
• From I-5, take Exit 101 (Tumwater Boulevard): Head east on Tumwater Boulevard; travel .4 miles and turn left on Linderson Way; follow signs to Check-In.
CHECK-IN:
All entries must stop at the check-in station on Linderson Way between Israel Road and Dennis Street. There you’ll receive your parade entry number and instructions. Any vehicle entering the check-in area to drop off participants must exit on Israel Road.

Tree Spies

We need volunteers to do a 24-7 watch of the Davis Meeker oak. This is a vulnerable time for the tree because it is the center of such attention. Both good and bad people are out there. One doesn't know what bad people might do.
